AudioShift is a local audio practice and audio-export app. Audio processing, playback, analysis, tuning, recording, and export are performed on your device.
AudioShift does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data with the developer or third parties. The app does not use advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, or external data-collection services.
AudioShift accesses only the audio files and folders that you choose through the system file picker. The app may read the files and associated information, such as file names, artist metadata, artwork, file size, and modification date, to display your library, play audio, detect changes, and maintain a local cache.
AudioShift does not modify or overwrite selected source files. When you choose to export, the app renders a new audio file using the current tempo, pitch/transpose, equalizer, Instrument Focus, and Element Removal settings. A new file is created even when no processing changes are active, and you choose its save location through the system file picker or save panel.
On macOS, AudioShift requests read/write access to user-selected locations so it can save the new file where you choose. This permission is not used to alter the selected source file.
AudioShift performs playback changes, tempo and chord analysis, pitch and tempo adjustment, equalization, instrument filtering, and audio export locally on your device. Any analysis results, corrections, playback settings, and cached metadata are stored locally in the app’s container. AudioShift does not upload audio, exports, or analysis results to the developer or to a cloud analysis service.
AudioShift can create a new audio file from a user-selected local source file. The export may include the playback changes you selected in the app. Temporary render files may be created in the app’s local container while an export is prepared and are removed after the export is completed or cancelled.
AudioShift does not connect to or download audio from Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, or other streaming services, and it does not bypass digital rights management (DRM) or copy protection. You are responsible for having the necessary rights or permissions to edit, export, or share the material you select.
AudioShift requests microphone access only when you choose to use a feature that needs it, such as the tuner or audio recording. Microphone audio is processed locally. Recordings you create are stored locally in the app’s container and are not transmitted to the developer or third parties.
You can deny or revoke microphone access in your device’s system settings. Features that require the microphone will not work while access is denied.
AudioShift may store settings, security-scoped bookmarks for folders you selected, cached artwork and metadata, audio-analysis results, recordings, and temporary export files locally on your device. Temporary export files are removed after the save operation is completed or cancelled. Other information remains until you remove it using available app controls, revoke folder access, delete the relevant recording, or uninstall the app, subject to your device’s backup and restore settings.
The developer cannot access or recover this locally stored information. Depending on your device settings, the operating system may include app data in a device backup managed by Apple or another platform provider.
If you select a source file from, or save an exported file to, iCloud Drive or another file-provider service, that provider may store or transfer the file under its own privacy policy. AudioShift accesses that provider only through the source or destination you select using the system file picker or save panel.
AudioShift does not require an account and does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking, or external data-collection services.
You decide which files and folders AudioShift may access, where new exports are saved, and whether to grant microphone permission. You can change microphone and file-access permissions in system settings. You can delete exported files using Files, Finder, or the relevant file provider. You can also remove selected folders, delete recordings, clear supported local data from within AudioShift where those controls are available, or uninstall the app to remove its local app container, subject to device backups.
This policy may be updated if AudioShift’s features or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published at the same privacy-policy URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
